European law guarantees everyone the right to treatment, but due to differences in healthcare systems, financing can be challenging.

As a result, Karakter is currently unable to provide treatment to children and adolescents living in Germany. We are actively working on systemic solutions to address these issues (see B-Solution below).

In the meantime we recommend our German network partners LVR Bedburg-Hau and LVR Viersen for care needs of children and youngsters from the German border region.

B-solution is a European initiative providing legal advice for problems encountered in European border regions.

Together with the AOK Rheinland/Hamburg and the B-solutions team, Karakter started a project to improve mental health care for children and adolescents in the Dutch/German border region. Through collaborative efforts, we strive to identify and implement effective solutions to enhance the quality and accessibility of mental health services in these areas.
