Improving care in the border region
Karakter and the project partners involved in Germany (LVR Bedburg-Hau, LVR Viersen, LVR Essen and LVR Düsseldorf) will receive a grant from the Interreg programme Germany-Netherlands to set up a structural exchange in the Euregio Rhine-Waal. With the exchange project B-BOLD Minds, we want to improve care in the border region. It better prepares specialists in training to contribute to improving the mental health of young people. They often struggle with the consequences of various social challenges such as climate change, digital overload and the corona pandemic.

Valuable experience

Through foreign work experience in psychiatric care, specialists learn to deal with various healthcare systems and cultural approaches during their training. This not only provides them with valuable knowledge and skills, but also sustainable international relationships. The cross-border exchange also makes training in the profession more attractive and thus helps to attract and retain mental health professionals in the border regions.
